Eagles Soccer

A healthy body is just as important as a healthy mind. IHM-St. Casimir School students have many opportunities to participate in team sports throughout the school year. Interested students and parents should have a look at the official Eagles' athletic handbook. A complete list of sports choices may be found below. If you have any questions regarding your sport of choice, please contact the appropriate sport director. Go Eagles!

Mr. Cherry

Mr. Cherry is our new Athletic Director. He and his family relocated from Connecticutt to be part of the IHM-St. Casimir family. Michael lettered in baseball in college, was a high school football referee in CT and is refereeing college football. He will also substitute teach. Basketball:

Played through the Catholic Youth League. (CYL) for 5th – 8th grades.

Basketball/ Volleyball Director: Michael Cherry, macherry01@hotmail.com

 

Girls practice begins around the third week of August. (CYL is not subject to MHSAA scheduling rules.)

Season begins the second week of September and runs through the end of October.

Tournament starts the end of October and runs through the second week of November.


Boys practice begins around the second week of November.

Season begins the first week of December and runs through the second week of February.

Tournaments begin the third week of February and runs through the first of March.

 

Volleyball:

Played through the Jr. Cougars and the Catholic Youth League (CYL) for 5th -8th grades.

Jr. Cougars begin the third week of January and runs through the last week of February. All practices are held at

St. Casimir and league play will be at Lansing Catholic High School.

Catholic Youth League begins the second week of March and runs through the first week or second week of April and will

be played through-out the schools that are in the Catholic Youth League.

 

 

Soccer

Played through the Capital Area Recreational Sports League. (C.A.R.S. League) for K-8th grade.

Fall practices start at the beginning of September.

Fall season starts approx the third week of September and ends approx the third week of October.

Spring practices start at the end of march or the first of April.

Spring season starts approx the third week of April and ends approx the third week of May.

Floor Hockey:

Played through the Lansing Parks and Recreation League. For K-8th grade.

Catholic Youth League (CYL) Baseball and Softball:

For 7th and 8th grades, both boys and girls.
