Fr. George Daisy

In Residence
Fr. George was born in Indianapolis Indiana on September 19, 1968. His family moved many times but settled in Waterford. After High School Fr. George got a degree in psychology from Michigan State and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. He then went to Mount St Mary’s Seminary in Cincinnati Ohio, and in 1997 graduated with a Master’s degree in Divinity and was ordained a priest on June 14.

Fr. George’s current assignment is that of specialized ministries. He works for Faith Catholic, writing for two liturgical publications: Homilies for Sunday and Weekday Masses and Commentary and Universal Prayer. He is also responsible to review both quarterly publications to ensure everything conforms to Church teaching.

In addition to his work with Faith Catholic, Father George is also “in residence” at Immaculate Heart, meaning that he helps Fr. John by saying some of the Masses on Sundays and during the week. You may recognize his lively homilies if you have ever given an “Amen” out loud at Church!

For fun and relaxation, Fr. George enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, playing guitar and watching movies.

When asked about the work that he does, Fr George offered this “I have been ordained a priest for 15 plus years and though things haven't always been easy my life in ministry as a priest has been rich and rewarding.  I give thanks to God each and every day for the blessing and privilege of being able to serve his people as a priest. My greatest joy remains serving you the good people of Immaculate Heart of Mary as priest.”
