Liturgical Ministries
The parish is always looking for more volunteers who would love to donate their time and talents to serve during Masses and/or assisting with care of the church. If you are feeling called to explore one of the ministries below please contact the parish office at (517)393-3030.
Adult Choir
Typically performs during the Christmas and Easter season. Must be 18 years or older to join.
Altar Servers
Boys and girls (5th grade through high school) may assist the priest in the liturgy of the Mass. Training takes place annually through IHM school and/or otherwise arranged times for those homeschooled or in public school. Servers are currently scheduled to serve on a rotating basis. Adults are also invited to serve at funerals and weekday Masses.
Art & Environment
This committee gathers twice a year to assess our liturgical space and plan for the various seasons of the Church year. Meetings are normally held at the convenience of the members, but participation is expected at Christmas and Easter.
Cantors/Instrumentalist
Men and women with a musical background and can lead/engage the gathered assembly in song, psalm and other liturgical responses.
Church Cleaning
Volunteers to clean/dust the worship space. Service time is arranged to accommodate your schedule.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Those parishioners who have received Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist and are 18 years of age or older. Those interested are asked to serve in two ways--some as ministers of the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass, while others take the Eucharist to those who are sick and/or homebound.
Ministers of Hospitality
Greeters and Ushers play a vital role in our parish liturgies--welcoming, seating people, collecting offerings, assisting those with special needs, etc.
Plant Care
Individuals needed to maintain the plants and flowers in the Church.
Readers
Men and women aged high school and older are invited to proclaim God's Word at Mass and at other parish liturgies. Training is generally held each fall.
Sanctuary Care
Individuals or families are needed to prepare the sacristy and altar prior to weekend liturgies.
