Adopt a Garden
Share your talents doing God's work in a "natural way." Small areas on the parish grounds always need loving attention. This ministry is open to anyone with a green thumb. It's also a great opportunity for a family to work together. Ministers will be able to do gardening, weeding and planting through the spring, summer, and fall. Administrative Office Volunteers
This ministry is open to those who have clerical talents, love to greet people, and answer phones. Volunteers make and receive phone calls, help with special projects, mailings, and other general office tasks. There are opportunities in the parish office on weekday mornings and afternoons all year round. Training is provided by office staff. Please contact the parish office at 517.393.3030 to learn more.
Baking
Cakes, cookies, and pies are needed periodically for parish functions. Ministers will prepare baked goods using their own facilities and deliver to the church for occasional functions year round. To be put on the Baker List please contact the front office at 517.393.3030
Card Ministry
This ministry supports the sick and those who have lost family members. Card making skills are not required. Open to those who would like to learn. Materials are provided. Contact the front office at 517.393.3030 to learn more.
Funeral Luncheon Hospitality
Help other parishioners prepare luncheons following a funeral of a loved one. Volunteers assist in the preparation, serving, and cleanup of funeral luncheons at IHM. Please contact Carolyn Reed at 517.331.1359
Funeral Hospitality Ministry
Provide hospitality before and after funerals. Support is given by physical presence, providing information, tissues and water to funeral attendees. Volunteers are notified by the coordinators on a rotation basis. Contact Carolyn Reed at 517.331.1359 to become a funeral hospitality volunteer.
Marriage Prep/Mentor Couple
Married couples willing to share their faith and experience of marriage with engaged couples. Training is provided. Contact Mary Dowsett at [email protected]
Restorative Justice
Become a pen pal/prayer partner to encourage evangelization and faith-sharing with those incarcerated. Contact Bob Heriford at 517.410.5772
Community Meal
Provide support on the 3rd Sunday of each month and/or donate personal need items for distribution for those in need. Contact Carolyn Reed
