St. Vincent DePaul (SVdP) Society has been in existence since 1833. It was started in France by a 20 year old college student. The United States got its first SVdP Society in 1845. This global Catholic organization serves the needs of its neighbors. In the greater Lansing Area, there are 8 SVdP Conferences that provide a multitude of services for its neighbors-in-need. The IHM SVdP Conference provides food and personal items, but also gives Beds/Furniture/Household Goods/Bus Passes and Clothing to those in need. We visit our neighbors at their dwelling place. If you are recently retired or have some free time in the early afternoons, we could use some bi-weekly help for 2-3 hours at a time. If you have questions or would like to see our process,
please contact Bob Snow at [email protected] or call our SVdP Office at 515-253-8163.
If you are in need of help please call 517-253-8163. Please leave a detailed message.
Please note this ministry is staffed by volunteers. Someone will return your call as they are able.
